Official Visit of the University Delegation to the Republic of Türkiye

The academic staff and employees of our university undertook a business trip to the Republic of Türkiye. The main objective of the visit was to become acquainted with the best practices of leading higher education institutions and research organizations in Türkiye, as well as to strengthen academic and institutional cooperation.

During the first days of the visit, the delegation gained comprehensive insight into the educational process, academic environment, and infrastructure of major Turkish universities. Within the framework of the trip, special attention was paid to the activities of university libraries. The modern infrastructure of the libraries, systems for managing digital and electronic resources, access to international scientific databases, and the high standard of reader services made a strong professional impression.

In addition, the delegation had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the activities of the Presidential Library of the Republic of Türkiye (Cumhurbaşkanlığı Millet Kütüphanesi) located in Ankara. The library was opened in 2020 and is currently regarded as one of the largest and most modern libraries in the world. Its collection includes several million items, encompassing scientific works, rare manuscripts, historical publications, and electronic resources. The library operates 24/7, which is a clear example of advanced practices aimed at creating convenient conditions for users.

The Presidential Library demonstrates a high level of digitalization: electronic catalogs and digital resources are widely used, and special spaces are provided for research, study, and cultural and educational activities. As a library professional, this experience served as a foundation for developing concrete recommendations and new initiatives that can be effectively applied to improve the services of the university library.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Board of Trustees and the university administration for their support in organizing this opportunity. We are confident that the results of this business trip, which contributed to the professional development of the university staff, will be continued through concrete projects and initiatives in the future.
