Two Voices of One Era
The 2025 national campaign “One Country – One Book” was dedicated to the works of two outstanding writers who left a remarkable legacy in Kazakh literature — Täken Älimqulov and Jumeken Näzhimedenov.
To honor and popularize the creative heritage of these two prominent literary figures, on October 31, 2025, the library of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, together with the Faculty of Philology, organized a literary evening titled “Two Voices of One Era.”
The event began with Jumeken Näzhimedenov’s inspiring poem “My Country,” performed by students of groups FQÄ-511(a) and FQÄ-511(b). The students recited the poet’s works by heart, analyzed their content, and, together with Associate Professor PhD R. Baimbetova, explored the poet’s artistic individuality in depth.
In addition, a detailed literary analysis of the short story “Where Is the Shelter of Love?” by renowned Kazakh prose writer Täken Älimqulov was presented. Librarians organized a special book exhibition dedicated to both authors. Librarians Sh. Kuanyshbayeva and A. Kozhakhmet invited participants to explore the writers’ literary heritage further.
